Who We Are

UroLens is operated by Chandler MedTech LLC. This privacy policy explains how we handle information when you use our health education tools, including PSA Guide and Hematuria Guide.

Information You Provide

When you use our tools, you enter health-related information. For PSA Guide, this includes your PSA value, age, race/ethnicity, family history, urinary symptoms, medication use, and digital rectal exam results. For Hematuria Guide, this includes information about your urinalysis results, urine characteristics, medical history, and risk factors. This information is used solely to generate your personalized educational results or clinical decision support output.

How Your Data Is Processed

• Temporary browser storage: Your assessment responses are stored temporarily in your browser's session storage. This data is automatically cleared when you close your browser tab. We do not store your health information in any database.
• AI processing: Your responses are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate the natural language summary on your results page. Anthropic does not use API inputs for model training. Your data is processed in transit and is not retained by Anthropic after the response is generated. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy for more details.
• PDF downloads: PDF summaries are generated entirely in your browser. No copy is sent to or stored on our servers.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use UroLens. Google Analytics collects anonymized usage data such as pages visited, time on site, and general geographic region. It does not collect your health information or assessment responses. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

No Account or Personal Identification

UroLens does not require you to create an account, provide your name, email address, or any other personally identifying information. We do not use cookies for tracking beyond what Google Analytics provides.

Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, sell, or share any personal health information. Your assessment responses are never written to a database, log file, or any persistent storage on our servers.

HIPAA Notice

UroLens tools are health education and clinical decision support tools, not healthcare providers. They do not create a physician-patient relationship and are not subject to HIPAA. The information you enter is not protected health information (PHI) as defined under HIPAA because no physician-patient relationship exists through use of these tools.

Third-Party Links

UroLens may link to external websites such as Prevea Health or the American Urological Association. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
